No Sound from Your Projector: A Complete Troubleshooting Guide for Bluetooth, HDMI, and Built-in Speaker Issues

8 Solutions by Cause
This is the most common cause. Check if the volume is set to 0 or if mute is ON using the volume buttons on the remote control or the device itself.
Solution: Press the volume + button on the remote to increase the volume. Press the mute button to unmute. Aestiquo P1 and Q1 allow direct volume adjustment via the remote control.
If you are connected to a Bluetooth speaker or earphones, the built-in speaker will not produce sound because the projector's audio output has switched to the Bluetooth device. Conversely, if no sound comes from the Bluetooth speaker, the pairing might be disconnected.
Solution: Go to Settings → Bluetooth → Check connected devices. If you want to hear sound from the built-in speaker, turn Bluetooth OFF. If you want to hear sound from an external speaker, try re-pairing.
When connecting a DVD player or PC via HDMI, the cause may be the audio output settings on the connected device. HDMI transmits both video and audio simultaneously, but audio may not be output depending on the settings.
Solution (PC): Go to Sound Settings → Change output device to HDMI (Projector).
Solution (DVD Player): Check the audio output settings from the DVD player's menu and ensure HDMI audio output is enabled.
The Aestiquo P1 comes with Android TV, so Android TV's audio settings can sometimes have an impact. This is particularly common when using apps like Netflix or YouTube.
Solution: Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Sound → Set Audio output to "Internal speakers" or the connected Bluetooth device. Also check the in-app volume settings.
If earphones or an AUX cable are plugged into the 3.5mm jack, the built-in speakers will automatically turn OFF.
Solution: Check if anything is plugged into the earphone jack. Even if it's only partially inserted, the built-in speakers might turn OFF, so make sure to remove it completely.
Temporary software glitches can sometimes cause audio to stop working.
Solution: Turn the power completely OFF, wait 30 seconds, then turn the power ON again. For P1, you can also select "Restart" from the Android TV settings menu.
If the Bluetooth speaker shows "Connected" but no sound is coming out, the pairing information might be corrupted.
Solution: On the projector, "delete/forget" the Bluetooth device → reset the speaker's pairing → try pairing again. Bring the speaker within 5 meters for connection.
Audio issues can sometimes arise from bugs in old firmware or apps.
Solution (P1): Go to Settings → Device Preferences → About → Check for System Update. Perform the update while connected to Wi-Fi.
For improved audio quality: Utilize external speakers
The built-in speakers of projectors are designed with portability in mind, so there are limits to their sound quality. If you want to enjoy movies with richer sound, we recommend combining it with a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar.
