First: The 3 Basic Checks When HDMI Won't Display
Even if a problem seems complex, it can often be solved with basic checks. First, confirm the following 3 items.
Switch the projector's input source to "HDMI"
This is the most common cause. You must switch the projector's input source using the remote or the buttons on the unit. Press the "Input," "Source," or "INPUT" button and select "HDMI," "HDMI1," or "HDMI2."
Firmly reseat both ends of the HDMI cable
If an HDMI cable is partially inserted, the signal will not be transmitted. Unplug it once and re-insert it firmly until you hear a click. Check both the projector side and the device side.
Restart the connected device
Turning off and restarting your PC or game console may allow the HDMI signal to be recognized correctly. Try restarting the projector as well.
By Cause: 7 Reasons Why HDMI Won't Display and How to Fix Them
🔴 Cause 1: Defective HDMI cable or mismatch in standards
Symptoms: Works with a different cable / 4K video does not display
Countermeasure: Try a different HDMI cable. If you want to display 4K video, you need a cable that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher. As cheap cables can vary in quality, we recommend using certified products (with an HDMI certification mark).
🔴 Cause 2: Wrong input source setting
Symptoms: Displays "No Signal"
Countermeasure: Switch the input source to "HDMI" using the projector remote. If there are multiple HDMI ports, try "HDMI1" and "HDMI2" in order.
🔴 Cause 3: Incorrect PC video output settings
Symptoms: PC is connected via HDMI but nothing appears
Countermeasure: Press "Windows key + P" and change the display mode to "Duplicate" or "Extend." For Mac, check the settings under "System Settings" > "Displays."
🔴 Cause 4: Restrictions due to HDCP (content protection)
Symptoms: Video displays, but certain apps (Netflix, etc.) show a black screen
Countermeasure: HDCP is a digital content protection standard. It may not display via mirroring. Switch to a method of watching Netflix directly using Android TV or a Fire TV Stick.
🔴 Cause 5: Faulty or loose HDMI port on the projector
Symptoms: The image flickers or cuts out when the cable is moved
Countermeasure: Try a different HDMI port (e.g., HDMI2). If it does not improve, the port may be faulty. Contact the manufacturer's support.
🔴 Cause 6: Mismatch in resolution or refresh rate
Symptoms: Video is distorted or flashes on for a second then disappears
Countermeasure: Set the PC resolution to match the projector's supported resolution (e.g., 1920x1080). We also recommend setting the refresh rate to 60Hz.
🔴 Cause 7: Graphics driver issues (PC)
Symptoms: It used to work but suddenly stopped working
Countermeasure: Update your PC's graphics driver to the latest version. You can update it via Windows Update or the graphics card manufacturer's website.

By Symptom: Common Problems and Solutions
| Symptom | Main Cause | Countermeasure |
|---|---|---|
| Displays "No Signal" | Input source setting error / Cable not connected | Switch input to HDMI / Check cable |
| Black screen (audio only) | HDCP restriction / Resolution mismatch | Watch directly via Android TV / Change resolution to 1080P |
| Distorted or flickering video | Cable fault / Poor connection | Replace cable / Reseat connection |
| Flashes on then disappears | Refresh rate mismatch | Set PC refresh rate to 60Hz |
| Video displays but no sound | Audio output setting issue | Set audio output to "HDMI" in PC sound settings |
| 4K video does not display | Using HDMI 1.4 cable | Replace with HDMI 2.0 or higher cable |
| Black screen on Netflix only | HDCP protection | Watch directly via Android TV or Fire TV Stick |
Final Resorts If It Still Won't Solve
Reset the projector to factory settings
If settings are the issue, initializing the projector may solve it. Select "Reset" or "Return to factory defaults" from the settings menu. Note that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings will also be cleared and will require re-setup.
Check operation with a different HDMI device
Connect a different PC, game console, Fire TV Stick, etc., to see if it displays. If it works with another device, the issue is likely with the original device; if it doesn't, it is likely the projector.
Contact manufacturer support
If you have tried all of the above and it still doesn't work, the HDMI port itself may be faulty. Contact the manufacturer's support center.
