STEP 1: Decide on Installation Location (5 min)

Choose Projection Wall or Screen

A white wall is perfectly sufficient without a dedicated screen. Choose a spot where there is no furniture in front of the wall. Ideally, this would be the shorter wall of the room.

⏱️ Approx. 1 min

Check Projection Distance

Q1 and P1 can achieve a large 60-120 inch screen at a distance of 1.5-3m. Start by setting the installation position at approximately 2m. For more details, refer to the Projection Distance Guide.

⏱️ Approx. 2 min

Ensure Light-Blocking Environment

Close blackout curtains during the day. At night, simply dimming the lights is sufficient. For tips on daytime viewing, also refer to the Usage Guide.

⏱️ Approx. 2 min

STEP 2: Set Up & Start Projector (10 min)

Set up the Projector

Place it on a stable surface such as a table, floor, or shelf. Q1 and P1 come with a 270° rotating stand, making ceiling projection easy.

⏱️ Approx. 2 min

Connect Power & Start Up

Connect the included power adapter and press the power button. It takes about 30 seconds to start up. Auto keystone correction will activate and the image will be adjusted automatically.

⏱️ Approx. 1 min

Adjust Focus

If the image is blurry, rotate the focus ring to adjust. The X26 has electric focus, so it can be operated with the remote control.

⏱️ Approx. 2 min

Adjust Image with Keystone Correction

If the image is distorted into a trapezoid, adjust it using the keystone correction button on the remote control. P1 also supports 4-corner correction. For details, refer to the Keystone Correction Guide.

⏱️ Approx. 3 min

STEP 3: Connect Content (10 min)

[Method A] Connect DVD Player via HDMI

Connect the HDMI OUT of PD102, PD141, or PD156 to the HDMI IN of the projector with an HDMI cable. Simply switch the input to HDMI and insert the DVD. For details, refer to the HDMI Connection Guide.

⏱️ Approx. 3 min

[Method B] Enjoy Video Streaming with Android TV (P1 only)

Since P1 has built-in Android TV, you can immediately enjoy Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video just by connecting to Wi-Fi. You can also add apps from Google Play.

⏱️ Approx. 5 min (including Wi-Fi setup)

[Method C] Connect a Fire TV Stick (Q1・X26)

Simply insert a Fire TV Stick (sold separately) into the HDMI port and set up Wi-Fi. You can enjoy Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube on a large screen.

⏱️ Approx. 10 min (initial setup)

STEP 4: Enhance Audio (5 min)

Connect a Bluetooth Speaker

Q1 supports Bluetooth 5.3, and P1 supports Bluetooth 5.4. Simply turn on the speaker's pairing mode and connect from the projector's Bluetooth settings. The sound quality and volume will be significantly improved compared to the built-in speakers.

⏱️ Approx. 3 min

STEP 5: Prepare Viewing Environment (10 min)

🍿 Golden Week Home Cinema Final Checklist

  • Close blackout curtains to darken the room
  • Prepare popcorn, snacks, and drinks
  • Arrange sofas, cushions, and blankets
  • Turn off smartphone notifications
  • Adjust projector brightness and color temperature to your liking
  • Check the volume (and be mindful of neighbors)
💡 Tip for Golden Week daytime viewing: If you don't have blackout curtains, maximize the projector's brightness setting and turn off all room lights for a clearer image. Q1 and P1 have high brightness of 20,000-28,000 lumens, allowing you to enjoy images even in somewhat bright environments.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I enjoy a large screen without a dedicated projector screen?
Yes, if you have a white wall, you can enjoy it sufficiently without a dedicated screen. However, using a dedicated screen will improve image clarity and contrast. We recommend trying it with a wall first, and then adding a screen if you want to enhance the experience.
Can I see the image during the day?
By closing blackout curtains and darkening the room, you can enjoy it sufficiently during the day. Q1 and P1 are designed with high brightness, allowing you to enjoy images even without completely darkening the room.
Can I watch Netflix?
P1 has built-in Android TV, so you can enjoy Netflix directly. For Q1 and X26, you can watch Netflix by connecting a Fire TV Stick (sold separately) to the HDMI port.
Do I need any tools for setup?
No. Q1, P1, and X26 all feature integrated stands that do not require a tripod, allowing them to be used simply by placing them on a table or floor. Ceiling projection is also supported without tools using the 270° or 180° rotating stands.
