Causes and Solutions for Unresponsive or Ineffective Remote Controls
Check/Replace Batteries
This is the most common cause. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control and replace the AAA batteries with new ones. Make sure to insert the batteries correctly, observing the polarity (+/-).
Point Towards the Infrared Receiver
Point the remote control towards the infrared receiver (a small black window) located on the front or side of the main unit. It will not respond if the angle is off. The ideal distance is within 3-5 meters.
Remove Obstructions from the Infrared Receiver
If there is a case or object in front of the infrared receiver, the infrared signal will not reach it. Clear the area around the receiver before operating.
Check for Strong Light Source Interference
Strong light, such as direct sunlight or fluorescent lights hitting the infrared receiver, can cause malfunctions or unresponsiveness. Close curtains or try changing the angle.
Restart the Main Unit
Temporary software glitches can sometimes cause the remote control to stop working. Turn off the main unit's power, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

- Launch your smartphone's camera app.
- Point the tip of the remote control (infrared LED part) at the camera.
- While pressing a button on the remote, look at the camera screen.
- If you see a white or purple light on the screen, the infrared signal is being emitted normally.
- If no light is visible, the batteries may be dead or the remote control may be faulty.
